What is a Machine Readable Power of Attorney (MChD)

Machine Readable Power of Attorney (MChD) — electronic analogue of a paper power of attorney for signing electronic documents. This is an xml file that contains information about the principal, the authorized person and the powers covered by the power of attorney.
MChD is signed by the electronic signature of the General Director or an authorized person.
 

Update in legislation

Order of the Federal Tax Service of Russia dated 30.04.2021 № ЕД-7-26/445@ — establishes a new format for exchanging legally significant EDI with government agencies in terms of signing documents using a machine-readable power of attorney
In the development of an order to exchange with the help of MChD in the B2B sector
The format becomes mandatory with 01.09.2023

 

From September 1, 2023, employees of organizations will use personal electronic signatures and attach information about a machine-readable power of attorney to the signed document (MChD).
